Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

The editor accepts scientific articles from the results of empirical research or conceptual works on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) area and related fields. There is a fast-track (priority) publication for papers written in English.

The manuscript must follow certain criteria below:

  1. Submitted manuscript has never been published in other journals and is not the result of plagiarism. The editor will screen the manuscript to strictly follow this rule and any violations of the publication ethics will be the author(s)'s responsibility.
  2. Every submitted manuscript will be checked by plagiarism checker software. The manuscript must have a similarity index below 25 percent. Please kindly check your manuscript similarity index using Turnitin, iThenticate, or other reputable plagiarism-checking software.
  3. The manuscript will be processed double-blind review and the author(s) must follow the editorial process, including manuscript revision and copyediting.
  4. The manuscript is typed in Microsoft Word format and consists of 6-10 pages of A4 (210 x 297 mm) paper following Teknika journal template. Please download the journal template here
  5. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English. The use of foreign language terms in the text must be written in italics format.
  6. The manuscript's title is written at the beginning using a center format, Times New Roman font type, size 18 pt, bold, and single space.
  7. Author(s) identity (full name without an academic title, affiliation, and email address) is written below the main title.
  8. The content of the article is typed in 2 columns format, using Times New Roman font type, size 10 pt, and single space.
  9. The abstract is written using both Indonesian and English, up to 250 words, in bold format. Please define up to 5 keywords separated by commas (,). Keywords must be carefully selected to explain the main concept of the article.
  10. Subchapters must be written using Roman format (I, II, III, IV, etc.). Subchapters normally follow this order: Introduction - Research Methodology - Result and Discussion - Conclusion.
  11. Every table and figure must be followed by an informative caption. The table's caption is written at the top and the figure's caption is written below the respective objects, using center format. Please make sure all figures in the article have good resolution and can be read easily.
  12. Acknowledgment can be added after the last subchapter (before References).
  13. References are written in the last part using the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) citation format.

  14. The manuscript that has been prepared using journal template can be sent via the online journal system at http://ejournal.ikado.ac.id/teknika. The author(s) must sign the letter of publication and copyright statement which can be downloaded here and then upload them as supplementary files at the last stage of the submission process.
  15. There is no article submission fee. But once a manuscript is accepted for publication, you need to pay an article publication fee of IDR 450,000.00 as a contribution to publication costs.
